L.A. Full Day 1

So yesterday was my first full day in L.A., after catching some zzzz’s on the couch I woke up ate myself some Chex and watched Mars Attacks. After that Pat, Kevin and I watched the most recent Lost episode which was excellent. Then I got to do what I was waiting for, get me some In-and-Out burger, Double Double Animal Style with Animal Style Fries. It was as good as I dreamed. After that Kev and I chilled at the house for a while and video g-chated with Gulyas using funky special effects. We started drinking around 430 before the Lakers/Celtics game started, and then at 6 moved the party to a Barneys Beanery for food and happy hour with Paul and met some of Kev’s friends there. We then drank there got some more unhealthy food and finished the game. After that it was off the Fantasia to continue to the drinking and unhealthy food eating. Pat met us over there as well as one of the guys west coast buddies. Around midnight we decided to turn it in.

I never want to eat anything but a salad again, but today we are going for more super delicious non-salad food. This trip has the making of epicness.

Fried mushrooms and so many fucking wings and ranch. In happy hour confusion, we were given an entire extra plate of wings (on top of our two ordered) for free. Then a creamy-cheesey nachos concoction and steak quesadillas at Fantasia. And beer. Lots of beer. And a Black Velevet in there somewhere. My body wants so bad to shut down.

But first, to Bay Cities for a large Godmother with the works! Huzzah!

if i didn’t have (MY OWN) large veggie pizza being delivered in 12 minutes, i’d be more jealous of that bay cities godmother.

Since the age of whatever the age I started wearing nail polish was, my parents - Dad especially??? - instilled in me that once nail polish starts to chip it looks trashy and it should removed immediately.

I’m staring at my hands right now, painted awesome deep brown 4 days ago and the left index finger is driving me NUTS because its starting to chip. It is likely I’ll stare at it for the rest of the work day, the entirety of my time spent at the gym, and all the way home on the T.

I really need to start carrying nail polish remover in my Mary Poppins bag.

so glad i’m not the only one who is crazy obsessive.

I ate a whole one of these today. For the first time. I’m a smaller guy, just breaching 150 pounds, so it’s not all that weird that I hadn’t done it before. Plus, I’ve never had Chipotle stoned.

That’s a lot of burrito, people. I mean, it has to weigh…what, two pounds? Plus all that expanding rice and tortilla doesn’t do great things to a person’s stomach. That’s like eating two pounds of pancakes, except you want to finish carnitas. Carnitas is like what Mexican people eat when it’s a holiday. So thick and rich and salty.

I can’t concentrate on anything right now. This food ran out of places to go in my digestive system so it’s creeped into my brain like tryptophan.

umm.. i eat entire burritoes and subway footlongs.
