    Since the age of whatever the age I started wearing nail polish was, my parents - Dad especially??? - instilled in me that once nail polish starts to chip it looks trashy and it should removed immediately.

    I’m staring at my hands right now, painted awesome deep brown 4 days ago and the left index finger is driving me NUTS because its starting to chip.  It is likely I’ll stare at it for the rest of the work day, the entirety of my time spent at the gym, and all the way home on the T.

    I really need to start carrying nail polish remover in my Mary Poppins bag.

    so glad i’m not the only one who is crazy obsessive.
