    emilyposts: While browsing swissmiss, I came across What A Lovely Name, a fun site that lets you specify the qualities you’d like your future baby’s name to convey, and then gives you names that fit such qualities.  You select attributes from their list and choose a gender (the results become fewer as you choose more).  I chose creative, elegant, and independent (that makes for a good baby, no?).  This returned 3 names: Brandubh, Garth, and Sarab. Ok, are Brandubh and Sarab even real names?!  And Garth, are you seriously contending that this name could ever be elegant??  The only two Garths I know (Algar and Brooks) are far from classy. I decided to trade out independent for quirky and got 21 names.  11 of the 21 start with Cre-, such as Cresensiana or Cresecenciana (I kid you not).  Other gems include Maolcolm and Ailill.  This site stinks and I weep for my generation’s babies. (via annagrimm) i saw this too. meggin was the weirdest name i saw, and all i could think of was beggin’ (bacon) strips. i could hear that annoying dog in the commercial too.
